“You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.” -Winnie The Pooh

First, I'm going to make an effort to blog more, specifically about every little thing that happens to me like some people do. ;)

Secondly, school is nearly done! I'm so very excited. Not that I'll get *any* less busy, but...it will be nice to officially be on "summer break".

Thirdly, my brain is a little fried after sorting nearly 2000 pictures. (and editing about 200 of them) I'm loving my internship though...really. ;P They fed me and that's always awesome.

Fourthly, you know that itching you get when you're slightly sunburned? Well, I've got that. It's annoying, but also exciting because it means that I'm tanning. :)

Fifthly, is it grammatically correct to say that you're "itching" something? Or is it just "scratching". I tend to lean towards saying "scratching", and it bugs me to hear somebody say "stop itching it". It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine.

Sixthly, I'm such a type A personality that I'm utterly loving that this blog post is organized and numbered.

Seventhly, I don't think seventhly is a word. I believe it would be sevenfold? Or...what does sevenfold even mean?
1. equal to or having seven times as many or as much. 2. composed of seven parts. (Thank you Google)

Eightfold, perhaps I should tie the introduction quote into my whole post.
Sometimes it's just so easy to stay in your corner and just wait for "God's will" to happen and not take action.  I have nothing deep or insightful to say about this beyond that God doesn't want you to do that. Oftentimes us taking initiative is how God brings about opportunity.
Disappointments in life will come, but...God knows oh so best for your life.

Centered In Christ

I'm taking a quick break from the flurry of finals homework and image editing to do a lil' slideshow video of some of my "people" pictures from TeenPact National Convention

These people are some of the most passionate, on fire for Christ teens I know, and they are some of my greatest friends. I have been so blessed to know all of these people and especially to get to be with them all for a week.

doors

As cliche as the phrase "when one door closes another door opens" is, it's incredibly true.
As disappointing as it is when doors close, if they didn't close, then other doors wouldn't be opened. :) yup.

I really don't have much time to devote to this, since my to-do list is...HUGE.
Not even kidding.

But, since I've written so many lists recently...I'll just continue the trend.

  • TeenPact National Convention is in 2 days, and I'm beyond excited for it.
  • finals are the first week of June.
  • I'm shooting a wedding in July!
  • big thing : two month intensive internship with a fabulous local wedding photographer. everything from photography, graphic design, advertising, organization and administration. such a great experience opportunity.
        • BIGGER THING: ---drumroll please--
For the next 2-3 weeks I'm a graphic design intern for independant film, designing books, labels and such.
          But...wait for it......
Producer/director and star of the film is non other than Josh Radnor, aka....Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother.
EEEEEEEEEEKKK!!!!!!!! <This has been me, for the past two days.

Alrighty, I need to go and start organizing and packing for National Convention. :)

RED!

Mom found this dress at goodwill a while back, but it ended up fitting me.
I wore it to a wedding on Saturday night, and then to church this morning. (yes! repeat outfits!)

so much for that old saying "redheads shouldn't wear red". HA! Take that world.
sorry for the weird mixture of colors / out of focus....it's a combination of camera phone/ over-exposed /yeah.

Alright, I gotta get back to homework. I just needed to take a break. :)

don't lose your muchness

I'm investigating things that begin with the letter M.

I try to believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
(tripod + running = sun beam in my face)

Why is the raven like a writing desk?

Who's to say what is "proper"? What if it was agreed that "proper" was wearing a codfish on your head? Would you wear it?

Precisely. Gentlemen, the only way to achieve the impossible, is to believe it's possible.

Of course. Anyone can go by horse or rail, but the absolute best way to travel is by hat. Have I made a rhyme?

There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger!

no makeup + nerd glasses

photo blog update!

Even though I'm pretty sure ya'll know already, in case anybody doesn't, here's a link to my photography page on facebook!  Red Photo

It was Sunday and I just didn't feel like wearing makeup. Oh, what a wonderful day it was, in my own skin!

Pretending to be all intellectual with my dad's glasses.

Yes, I'm such a nerd. :-)
(oh, and I was also super excited to be using a friend's Speedlite 430EX....yaaay for flashes)
