rocketeer

let's flyyy, where we go we don't need a road, where stop oh nobody knows

I love it when people cover songs, because sometimes the original gets old and boring and it's refreshing to hear a new take on a song.

Finals are over! Annnnd, I can deal with a 3.7GPA. Not too bad for being gone an entire week before finals, and not always "putting my heart" into my projects. heh. I've left my over-achieving, home-schooled-self back in high school. ;)

This past Saturday I was third shooter (yeah, there were three of us), for my first "real/big" wedding.  It was an experience, and solidified my belief that I do not want to be a wedding photographer.

Note : all photos were shot for Kester Imagery. Check out their work, it was a pleasure / honor to work with them!

Beautiful bride Sarah and husband Matt!

Yes, I befriended the dog.

such a fun lil' crowd

cupcakes! AMAZING homemade cupcakes, I might add.

gorgeous downtown "warehouse" venue, at sunset the light filtered in through the windows and hit the tables and flowers.

No man can walk out on his own story.
Sometimes I fear that my life isn't going the way it "should" or something. Which is ridiculous, I know. God knows all, I cannot walk out of His will, I cannot walk out of my own story.
(Yes, this is a quote from Rango)

Lastly, something unexpected happened. I took a friend's senior pictures, and she went to get them printed at Wal-Mart and they refused to give them to her after they were printed because they looked too professional and they were afraid of breaking copyrights. So, she contacted me and I had to sign a "Copyright Ownership Indemnification Agreement". (dun dun dunnn) Anyway, she shouldn't have a problem now since I've "released" the photos to be printed.

I obviously know about photo copyrights and stuff, but this surprised me. I mean, from a photographer's standpoint it makes sense, and really I should be thankful for it. But, from just a friend's standpoint, I'm like "Psh!! Whatever".

Although I must admit, I'm a little bit proud they thought that looked so professional that they couldn't give them out. ;P

Alright, that's all for now folks! Another certain friend is bugging me to get this post finished, so I thought I might as well wrap things up.  :P

just rip it off

(seriously, I wish I was rich and indy enough to buy everything from urban outfitters)

Once upon a time, there was a girl. Waiting to find out something that would change the FUTURE OF THE WORLD!

Ok. Not really. Just, her future. And only for about 6 months. ;]

I'm waiting to find out about my intern application with a pretty fantastic organization, the letter will be mailed out July 1st. Not that far away, I know. But, I just wish I could know now. Sorta like a band aid, rip it off quickly instead of slowly, over say a period of out a month. ;]

In the mean time, lots of prayer is going into this. As well as life going on normally, I have so much to do.

I have my final finals (hah!) tomorrow! Hurrah!!  Although, I need to finish my website tonight.

Luckily, I have most of it finished. :)
the pretty stuff-----------------------------the techy code stuff
fascinating, eh?

But, in my efforts of avoiding homework earlier today (it was unbearably hot, and I couldn't face my homework)....I decided to web surf.
As a result, I have a new obsession.

Pinterest.com
Check it out. Really.

Aight. Better get back to coding. And praying. And wishing the band aid would rip off faster.

“You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.” -Winnie The Pooh

First, I'm going to make an effort to blog more, specifically about every little thing that happens to me like some people do. ;)

Secondly, school is nearly done! I'm so very excited. Not that I'll get *any* less busy, but...it will be nice to officially be on "summer break".

Thirdly, my brain is a little fried after sorting nearly 2000 pictures. (and editing about 200 of them) I'm loving my internship though...really. ;P They fed me and that's always awesome.

Fourthly, you know that itching you get when you're slightly sunburned? Well, I've got that. It's annoying, but also exciting because it means that I'm tanning. :)

Fifthly, is it grammatically correct to say that you're "itching" something? Or is it just "scratching". I tend to lean towards saying "scratching", and it bugs me to hear somebody say "stop itching it". It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine.

Sixthly, I'm such a type A personality that I'm utterly loving that this blog post is organized and numbered.

Seventhly, I don't think seventhly is a word. I believe it would be sevenfold? Or...what does sevenfold even mean?
1. equal to or having seven times as many or as much. 2. composed of seven parts. (Thank you Google)

Eightfold, perhaps I should tie the introduction quote into my whole post.
Sometimes it's just so easy to stay in your corner and just wait for "God's will" to happen and not take action.  I have nothing deep or insightful to say about this beyond that God doesn't want you to do that. Oftentimes us taking initiative is how God brings about opportunity.
Disappointments in life will come, but...God knows oh so best for your life.
